In May, 1,627 Prius were sold in the Silicon Valley area. This represents a sizeable share of the overall Prius available on the market.

Technology workers, in addition, tend to be more aware of scientific issues and concerns about the environment. Add to that the fact that many Silicon Valley workers don’t have especially large families, and the Prius is a good fit.
