According to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report, the average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania was $2.05. That’s an increase of seven cents over last week. While that sounds like a big jump, those are still better figures than last year’s average price of $3.09 per gallon.
Prices for gas haven’t just increased in Pennsylvania, though. On average, the price for a gallon across the nation is $1.96, three cents higher than last week’s prices. Since the beginning of the year, the prices have gone up an average of 35 cents.
The highest prices in the state were found in Clarion at $2.09 per gallon. You can still get a gallon of gas for less than $2.00 per gallon in Altoona and Brookville if you want to drive that far.
