The new Pontiac G5 for 2009 will arrive at your GMC Pontiac Buick dealers soon. General Motors has outdone themselves with the new G5, upping the ante on both standard and avaialble features.
One of the first things that stands out about the G5 is the safety features. Last model year, the G5 added head curtain side-impact air bags standard, as well as the tire pressure monitoring system. For 2009, Pontiac adds a passenger sensing system, which complements the dual-stage front air bags.
In addition, the G5 now has the capability to connect your Bluetooth enabled phone to the vehicle’s OnStar system, which is standard. Using Bluetooth via the OnStar system, you can make hands-free calls.
There are two new colors available for the new model year as well. Titanium Metallic and Nitrous Blue Metallic have been retired, and they have been replaced with Silver Green Metallic and Quicksilver Metallic. In addition, there is a new option for an interior color combo of ebony and red.
There have been changes to some of the packages, as well. there are new stereos, plenty of wheel options, and even a new appearance package. XM satellite radio is also standard equipment on the base and GT models.
