Looking for a Black Hyundai? Not in California!

hyundai automotiveHave you been attracted to the sleek and stylish look of your favorite Hyundai model in black? If you’re in California, you may no longer have the choice of buying a black Hyundai or any other car painted black for that matter.

In what sounds like a story straight out of Orwell’s 1984, the government is now telling you that you cannot buy a black car in California. Unfortunately, what happens in California usually spreads to the entire nation sooner or later.

The reason for the ban on black car paint is because they get too hot in the summer. Since they get so hot, you as the driver of the black car will be more likely to use the air conditioning which creates more emissions and more air pollution.

What is even worse about the encroachment on your personal choices, you will also need to pay an extra $39 to $128 when you buy a vehicle to cover the cost increase for non-black paint.

You can still visit your Pottstown area Hyundai dealer and get behind the wheel of a car of any color. If black is your favorite choice in car color, maybe you should check one out today before it’s too late.

Pennsylvania Dealers Discuss the 2010 Prius

pennsylvania dealersYour Pennsylvania dealers want to tell you about the new Toyota 2010 Prius via a review printed in The Detroit News. The author of the article – Scott Burgess – had many good things to say about the new generation of the Prius. Here are some highlights from that review.

• Despite doing “everything humanly possible to beat this redesigned hybrid into submission,” the reviewer still got 26.8 miles per gallon at its most inefficient moments.
• The sticker on the car states the 2010 Prius can get an average of 50 mpg, but most drivers will probably get better than that without even trying.
• The new generation Prius is even quieter (if you can believe that) than the previous generation. Engineers have accomplished this by creating a belt-free engine.
• Despite the negativity that people in Detroit have towards hybrids, this reviewer had nothing bad to say about the new Prius. “Sorry, Detroit. I tried,” he said in one part of the review after describing his attempts to foil its gas mileage claims.

The 2010 Prius is proving to create quite the buzz despite the fact that it isn’t even arriving on the U.S. market until spring. Visit your Doylestown area Toyota dealer today to put your order in so you can be one of the first drivers to have a 2010 Prius in your driveway.

Used Car Dealer Pennsylvania Offers Tips for Buying Used Cars

used car dealer pennsylvaniaMore and more people are buying used cars these days because of the economy and the fact that older cars are lasting longer than they used to. But that doesn’t mean they are doing everything right when shopping for used cars. Here are three common mistakes many people make when looking for and buying used cars.

1. Accepting missing paperwork – Whether you are buying a used car from a dealer or a private seller, don’t accept a car before researching its history. If the seller tells you they do not have maintenance records, you can get the vehicle’s history by getting the VIN and going to CarFax.com. It’s one of the best ways to ensure that you are educated about what you are buying.
2. Not going for a test drive – Never buy a used car without taking it for a test drive. Regardless of what the seller tells you, you should always take the used car for a test drive before agreeing to buy it.
3. Accepting the seller’s word – While you’re out taking the car for a test drive, swing by your mechanic’s garage and get a complete checkup. Even if the seller tells you nothing is wrong, find out for yourself.

This isn’t to say that your used car dealer is “out to get you.” But these tips just help you feel more comfortable about the decision you make. Visit your Pontiac dealer near Media and put these tips to work for you!

Hyundai to Introduce Prius-Like Hybrid

hyundai dealersHyundai Automotive has already taken on some of the biggest automakers in the world and made a name for itself by doing so. Now, the South Korean automaker is going to take on the leader in hybrid vehicles when it introduces its new concept in April.

The competition for the hybrid market has been nothing less than heated. Hyundai is throwing its proverbial hat into the ring with a Prius-like dedicated hybrid vehicle. According to a report in Motor Authority, “Hyundai is determined to turn itself into a leader in hybrid technologies and has already unveiled a number of hybrid concepts.”

Hyundai plans to be a major competitor with its new 1.6-liter four-cylinder drivetrain with direct-injection technology. This new concept is going to have a total output of more than 150 horsepower and will be able to drive up to 40 miles in its electric-only mode. That’s just as good as the upcoming Chevrolet Volt.

But Hyundai isn’t stopping there. The automaker is also using recycled soft drink bottles for the headlamps and other plastics in other parts of the car.

These Hyundai hybrids will not be available at your Doylestown area Hyundai dealer for awhile, but they are making their debut on April 2 at the Seoul Motor Show. You can, however, check out the newest and latest in fuel-efficient technology with today’s Hyundai products at your local dealer.

PA Car Dealers Say: Start Planning Your East Coast Trip Now!

pa car dealersYour PA car dealers know that spring weather is just around the corner. And with spring comes plans of road trips and vacations. One way to ensure you get the most excitement from your road trip to Pennsylvania is to start planning now. Here are some places you should visit in PA and the surrounding region.

The Hershey Story
This new Pennsylvania attraction tells the story of the Hershey name and how it came to be on the tip of everybody’s tongue. One exhibit shows a chocolate lab, a chocolate tasting area and all things chocolate. You’ll get your fill!

Punxsutawney Phil
You may not see the groundhog that tells America how much longer winter is going to last, but you can see the area from which he emerges every February 2. There is a life-size bronze sculpture of “Phil” and many other things centered around this little critter which has put this small town on the PA map.

The World’s Largest Burgers
Visit Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield for burgers that are bigger than your head. The 9-pound burger is one of the most popular menu items and you have a three-hour time limit to eat it if you want it for free. Only one person has defeated this “Holy Grail of the burger world.”

While you’re in the area, you might as well visit the Glenside area Toyota dealer for a deal on a new or certified used vehicle. It could be the perfect end to your Pennsylvania trip!

PA Auto Dealers Offer Tips for New Drivers

pontiac carsYour PA auto dealers care about your family’s safety on the roadways. If you have a new driver in your household or a teenager who is about to get their license, you’re probably a nervous wreck. But there are things you can teach your new driver to help keep them safe behind the wheel and minimize your worries. Use these tips as a good start.

Seatbelts
One of the most important things to remember as a new driver is to wear a seatbelt. It’s not only safe, but it’s also illegal if you do not wear one. Seatbelts save lives every day so get into the habit of putting it on as soon as you get in the car.

Drive Slow
There’s no reason to drive like Mario Andretti regardless of where you need to go. Nearly half of all fatal traffic accidents among new drivers occur because they were driving too fast. Be sure to slow down and you’ll be safer behind the wheel.

Don’t Get Distracted
Driving with the radio on is fine, but driving with it blaring at 120 decibels is not. Set a station when you get in the car and leave it alone. Also, limit the number of friends you have in the car with you and put down that cell phone.

If you have confidence in your new driver, why not reward their good driving behaviors with a new or certified used car from your Springfield area Pontiac dealer? It’s a great way to say “Well done” to your new teen driver.

PA Auto Dealers Say: “New or Used? You Choose!”

new carsYour PA auto dealers want you to get the best car for the money you spend. These days, you can almost have your pick between a used or new car without the price being the deciding factor!

With the financial times and popularity of used cars, you can get a new car for about the same price (or even lower in some cases) than their used counterparts. This is taking buyers by surprise when they visit their Springfield, PA area Pontiac dealer. They are seeing the sticker prices on new and used vehicles, comparing them and choosing the newer vehicles because they are becoming the better deal.

“The intuitive logic has been that a used car buy is a better buy,” said Jeremy Anwyl, the CEO of Edmunds.com. “But consumers need to check reality. It’s very contradictory.”

One of the reasons for this phenomenon is the rebates. Since auto sales have hit a 27-year low, manufacturers like Pontiac are offering awesome rebate specials for buying one of the new models. Other incentives include lower interest rates and lower prices overall to entice people to the dealer lots.

In addition, dealers are offering more money for trade-ins. With all of these combined, now might just be the perfect time to get a new Pontiac model!
