You may have noticed something different at your Conshohocken area Toyota dealers recently. The Japanese automaker announced mid-2008 that the new Yaris five-door hatchback would be hitting Toyota dealers this year. Here are some things you can expect from the new subcompact vehicle at your local Toyota dealers.
• The estimated fuel economy of the new Yaris is 29 miles per gallon in the city and 35 on the highway. That varies mildly depending on the actual body style and transmission you choose for your Yaris.
• The MSRP for the new Yaris starts at about $12,200 and goes up to more than $16,000 for a Sedan S Model with more features and options.
• The five-door liftback body style is available for the Base and Sporty S grade models on the new Yaris.
• Some driving features on the new Yaris include Electronic Brake Force Distribution, ABS, seat-mounted side airbags for the driver and the passenger and new exterior colors like Zephyr Blue and Blue Streak Metallic, just to name a few.
• The five-door body style provides extra convenience so you can carry passengers in the backseat and still have room for loading cargo, groceries or other things you need to transport.
